Sodium Tripolyphosphate

It is a type of amorphous water-soluble linear polyphosphate, commonly used in food as a moisture-retaining agent, quality improver, pH regulator, and metal chelating agent. Sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) has functions such as chelation, suspension, dispersion, peptization, emulsification, and pH buffering. It can be used as a major auxiliary agent in synthetic detergents, industrial water softener, pre-tanning agent in leather making, dyeing auxiliary, organic synthesis catalyst, dispersant in the pharmaceutical industry, and food additive, among others. Apart from exporting STPP, domestic consumption of STPP is mainly concentrated in the detergent industry, as well as in food, ceramics, and other sectors.
